Forget the burgers this Fourth of July. Start your day with a tasting of locally made, tropical-fruit-flavored ice creams at Bee Heaven Farm. July is, after all, National Ice Cream Month.
We’re talking white sapote, lychee, passion fruit, mamey, South Florida peach ice cream, and others. They’re all prepared by local ice-cream specialists Gabrielle Berrier of Gaby’s Farm, Hani Khouri of Hani’s Mediterranean Organics, and Robert Barnum of Possum Trot Nursery. There will also be pie.
Go, taste, tour the farm, and bring some frozen goodness back home with you to enjoy while you watch the fireworks. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 9. Tickets must be purchased by July 1. Buy them here.
