Move over, Ben & Jerry’s: There’s a new dessert truck tour in town (if only for a day).
The Hilton’s DoubleTree Hotel is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its signature chocolate chip cookie by going on the road with the DoubleTree by Hilton Cookie CAREavan.
“We feel that the simple act of kindness of a chocolate chip cookie can put a smile on a person’s face anywhere and everywhere across America,” said John Greenleaf, DoubleTree by Hilton’s vice president of brand marketing.
The truck will show Miami it cares by giving away cookies at CocoWalk from noon to 6 p.m., after stopping by Camillus House at 10 a.m.
Although we’re the sixth stop on the 50-city, ten-week tour, there’s a special treat for one Miami cookie-eater. The CAREavan will give out the tour’s 100,000th cookie, awarding its recipient with a three-night stay at any DoubleTree in the United States.
Wondering how the cookies will get here? The sweets are baked fresh every day at Christie Cookie Company in Nashville, Tennessee. They are then shipped overnight to the truck’s next location. So don’t worry, they will have that almost-straight-out-of-the-oven taste.
