It’s 9 p.m. and the digital clock at the end of Lincoln Road shows 98 degrees. C’mon! Are you kidding? It’s only June…Those numbers don’t lie and you are in fact walking around in a large outdoor sauna. Just as you feel you are about to blow a casket, hit The Frieze Ice Cream Factory off of Lincoln road for some homemade ice cream and sorbets. This Miami Beach establishment continues to rank among our favorites with over 40 flavors, all made in house. A lover of all things cold and colorful, personal favorites are their sorbets. Rich in taste and never icy with flavors such as blueberry, champagne, root beer, peanut butter, ginger pear and pink grapefruit to name a few.
Don’t panic if your flavor isn’t in the cooler counter. Check the posting on the fridge and when all else fails, ask nicely if they’ll check the walk-in cooler to see what was made that morning. If you are a die hard like this sorbet lover you can pre-order your favorite flavor (champagne) by the gallon and have it available in your own freezer.
