Badrutt’s Place is reinventing itself as the more casual JB Kitchen + Bar. They are holding interviews and finishing remodeling the space.
The restaurant, owned by Johannes Badrutt, will offer “American classics with a Peruvian flair.” A preview menu seems pretty run-of-the-mill. Appetizers include artichoke and spinach dip, JB’s honey-mustard wings, and steamed mussels. Entrées includes filet mignon, lobster mac and cheese, chicken marsala, and lomo saltado. The menu also includes salads and sandwiches.
Add a U-shaped bar with specialty cocktails, beers on tap, and flat-screen TV sets, and it sounds like a sports bar. It’s no wonder, then, that the restaurant is slated to open Super Bowl weekend.
