Eating at a juice bar can be risky. Most places master only one kitchen tool: the blender.
But Jungle Juice in Sunny Isles thinks beyond the Vitamix. It offers healthful wraps, salads, pitas, sandwiches, and burgers. And on Thursdays, you can try their their carb-free lasagna special.
Wraps ($7.99 to $8.99) — available in whole wheat or spinach tortillas — include fillings such as tuna salad, tilapia, veggie burger, BBQ chicken, and churrasco. On a recent visit, we had the special: a turkey burger wrap with rice. It was stuffed with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, green and banana peppers, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, and onions. It was fresh, filling, and left us feeling good.
The best part is the secret sauce — jungle juice sauce. You’ll get a side of it, but you might want to request more. It contains a delicious blend of crushed peanuts, vinegar, and cilantro. It’s addictive and thankfully, they also have multi-grain chips that are good for dipping.

On Thursdays, you can order Jungle Juice’s carb-free lasagna. For ten bucks, you get lasagna and house salad dressed in jungle juice sauce.
The lasagna features thinly sliced eggplant, pulled chicken, and turkey breast. It’s covered in soy cheese and marinara sauce.
There might not be any noodles or carbohydrates in there, but we didn’t miss anything. It had plenty of layers and most importantly, it tasted good.
So go try the food at Jungle Juice. Just don’t forget to ask for a side of their great sauce.
