First came Town Kitchen & Bar. Next was Smoke’t Southern Kitchen & Tap. On deck, with opening date pegged in January: Sake Blue Asian Kitchen & Bar (notice how each time this restaurant group names a new restaurant they make the moniker one word longer?). This latest venture from the Town Kitchen Group takes over the old Chispa restaurant spot at 225 Altara Avenue in Coral Gables — just up from Village of Merrick Park.

Progressive twists on classic Asian delicacies” will include dishes such as”spicy tuna tempura roll wrapped in plantain chips or crab & pineapple fried rice.”


The environment will be designed as a high energy lounge with soulful beats from guest DJs.”

The new concept is said to have been inspired by the partners visiting many Asian-influenced neighborhood sake “joints” around the country “driven by talented chefs who created high-quality food”. So who will these talented chefs be at Sake Blue? “Town Kitchen Management will soon be announcing their Head Chef and Sushi Chef who hailed from well-known Miami hotspots.”

They can’t just come out and tell us who the chefs are?
