The BubbleQ is one of The South Beach Wine and Food Festival’s premiere events. It’s the one that people talk about – and who wouldn’t? To be honest, any event that offers free-flowing Perrier-Jouët and meat cooked by celebrity chefs should be worshiped like a minor demi-god.
Without a doubt, BubbleQ made a grand attempt to woo the ladies at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Under a central giant chandelier, a circular bar filled with young male eye candy in black shirts and neon green ties poured endless amounts of bubbly. The decor could best be described as “South Beach Chic”, with white couches and tables accented by giant champagne flutes and glass bubbles.
Celebrity chefs served up savory meat dishes, and Godiva and Sweet Street were on hand to provide parfaits, cupcakes and chocolate. Some of the chefs serving up dishes included Bobby Flay, Cat Cora, Michael Symon. Jonathan Waxman, Todd English, Rick Bayless and Al Roker (yes, of television weatherman fame). Giada De Laurentiis and Guy Fieri were enjoying the evening’s festivities and the queen herself, Martha Stewart dropped in to say hello before heading over to the Let Them Eat Cake Event she was co-hosting with Emeril Lagasse.
Cute guys in ties kept the corks popping and the bubbly flowing.
