When the staff at Soi Chinese Kitchen showed up for work this morning, they anticipated a regular Monday filled with lunch orders and diners.
Instead, they found the restaurant had been broken into.

Though the exact time of the incident wasn’t known, a restaurant employee told Short Order that it had to have happened sometime between the restaurant’s closing on Sunday night at 10 p.m., and when the employees showed up this morning at 10 a.m.

The burglars took some computer equipment and cash and broke the door. The tape from the security camera was handed over to Miami police for further investigation.
The restaurant is closed today for cleanup and to repair the door, but will reopen tomorrow.
