This Friday, come hungry to The Magic City Casino for the first street food festival. The event, which will be held in the casino’s parking lot from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature free parking, music, giveaways and 25 trucks, serving up lunch and fun. The event is sponsored by Magic City Casino, La Ley Enterprises and Burger Beast.
Patrons of the food trucks will receive a ticket for every truck they purchase food at. Each ticket is redeemable for a chance to win prizes including casino game play credit, concert tickets and T-shirts. Susy Ampuero, director of marketing at Magic City Casino, said “I’m excited about the food. At this point we only have this one event planned, but we would look into having more.”
Over two dozen trucks are scheduled to roll into the Casino including Caza Crepes, CheeseMe, Daddy’s Grill, Dim Ssam a Gogo, Dolci Peccati Gelato, The Fish Box, GastroPod, Grill Master Cafe, Jefe’s Tacos, Latin Burger, Latin House Grill, the MexZican, Miso Hungry, Ms. Cheezious, Nacho Mama’s, the Red Truck, the Rolling Stove, Sugar Rush, Slow Food Truck and Wing Commander.
Since this event is at a casino, families should be reminded that though the Street Food Festival welcomes all ages, entrance into the casino is restricted to adults 21 and over.
