Back in January, Animal Collective premiered its visual album ODDSAC at Sundance. The film, directed by filmmaker Danny Perez, is a psychedelic visual delight featuring music by the experimental quartet. After that, the film hit the road with sold-out screenings everywhere from New York to San Francisco, and for a change, Miami isn’t going to be left out of the loop. In fact, the film will have its South Florida premiere April 25 at Grand Central (697 N Miami Ave., Miami).

Perez and the band will be attending the screening and participating in a Q&A following the film. The last time Animal Collective was here, it was in June 2009 for a live performance at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale. While this is not quite a live performance, it still doesn’t make it any less exciting.

Tickets are available for $15, and it will be an all-ages event with the screening starting at 8 p.m. We highly suggest you don’t think and just purchase, because this is almost guaranteed to sell out.

By the way, the ODDSAC DVD will be released in June for those Animal Collective fans that need to own everything. After the jump, the film’s trailer.
