After disappearing briefly and temporarily to record its debut album, local indie-glam party band People From Venus is back. And totally energized by the new slab of future pop in its ass pocket, the Miami Beach-based crew seems set to re-stir the supercharged ions of hype still lingering from being named one of SPIN‘s 7 Undiscovered Bands Worth a Listen

Over the next seven days, PFV will play a blitz of live shows spreading the storm all over this subtropical urban sprawl, a.k.a. South Florida — not to mention that mini-state known as Basel. The band’s first stop will be a midnight gig at tomorrow’s opening bash for Miami’s Independent Thinkers, an Art Basel satellite focused entirely on the South Florida scene. Then, a few days later on December 5, PFV will open for Chairlift at the Fountain Art Fair before, finally, hitting up the Miami Music Festival next week.

In the meantime though, get an indie-glam pre-party going. Just download today’s free track “Kite,” the first single off PFV’s new LP, then break out the black mascara and a bottle of vodka. The real storm’s only hours away.
