We are waiting until after the full 36-hour rager known as Sunday School: The Lost Weekend to give our verdict. But after stopping by last night (this morning, really), Sunday’s climax seems promising.
We arrived early in the night to find it a little dead. But after returning at 4 in the morning, the place was packed. Richie Hawtin was getting ready to take over the lobby stage during his Minus showcase. He followed Gaiser, who performed live to a packed room.
Just typing that has us reliving the heat, sweat, and body odor.
One thing that bothered us, though, was the empty adjacent room. It was hosting the Boys Noize Records showcase. The space was outfitted with a massive LED stage and featured sets by Djedjotronic, D.I.M. Tiga, and Housemeister, and a live performance by Spank Rock. We also spotted the noizy boy himself.

Anyway, a taste of Housemeister’s set on the LED stage. (Apologies for the awful sound quality.)
