Yes, Winter Music Conference and March madness have ended, but Culture Kings gives you another reason to skip out of work early this Wednesday afternoon with an acoustic in-store performance by Chester French. Think catchy Boston-bred guitar licks with a Beatles/ N.E.R.D. falsetto fitted with Bapes and blazers.
The duo, currently on tour supporting Lady Gaga, came up busking and selling CDs in their hometown’s Harvard Square before a demo of theirs created a bidding war, ending with the signature of Star Trak honcho Pharrell Williams. So far the group has scored remixes by El-P and Steve Aoki, written a song dedicated to your girl’s Jimmy Choos, and gotten the track “She Loves Everybody” featured on Entourage. Now the Chester French boys are looking to knock up the pop scene with their debut LP, Love the Future, out this spring. Check out the buzz and grab some kicks in-store this Wednesday.
