Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba is doing Lynn University a solid following a tragedy that rocked the Boca Raton campus earlier this year. The January 12 earthquake in Haiti claimed the lives of four students and two professors who were in the country providing care to the less fortunate for the Journey of Hope program. In the spirit of the fallen members of the Lynn community, Carrabba is donating his time to play two concerts to benefit a memorial scholarship fund.
Two events are planned for Friday, April 30. The first is a VIP affair at 6 p.m. featuring Carrabba unplugged in the intimate Schmidt Studio at Lynn’s Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center. Seating is extremely limited. The second event starts at 8 p.m. is in the Wold Performing Arts Center’s 750-seat main space, and will feature Carrabba accompanied by the Lynn University Philharmonia.
We have tickets to both events, and you have a chance to win them by heading over to our Free Stuff section, a great spot to know about.
