If you’re in Austin checking out SXSW, you might be in the mood to see some familiar faces. And if you aren’t there, join the club.
But it’s worth mentioning that Miami residents are being well represented by some of our favorite local sons, including Grammy-nominated crew, Locos Por Juana.
Locos took a break from recording its upcoming release, a new album expected out in the summer, to rock a couple of shows at SXSW. Tonight the band hits Momo’s at 11 p.m., and tomorrow they’ll share that signature Afro-cumbia reggae funk fusion at the Billboard en Español Showcase at Prague.
And LPJ aren’t the only ones repping the Magic City in Austin. Spam Allstars performed on Monday, delivering two sets at the SXSW Film Festival at Paradise Café, which accompanied a screening of the film Square Grouper, which DJ Le Spam scored for Rakontur, the creators of Cocaine Cowboys.
