What do you do once you have a handful of Grammys? When you’re not only the first solo salsa star to sell out Madison Square Garden — even though the venue is situated in the seat of Nuyorican salsa, courtesy of Héctor Lavoe, Willie Colón, and Celia Cruz — but also the top-selling tropical artist of all time? If you’re Marc Anthony and you’ve ruled charts in both English and Spanish, you marry Jennifer Lopez, buy yourself a stake in the Miami Dolphins, and kick up your feet on a yacht, right?

Wrong. Instead, you continue your acting career, playing Lavoe in El Cantante, and, most recently, nabbing a guest stint alongside Jada Pinkett Smith on Hawthorne. And you keep recording. Anthony’s got a brand new bag — Iconos — in which he pays homage to some of Latin music’s greats, such as José José, Roberto Carlos, and José Luis Perales. The boricua superstar can sing circles around any of them — and just about anyone else in Latin music, for that matter. What he does best is what he’ll do this weekend: perform live.
