There is nothing threatening about New York rock band RAPOSO. The bassist is a successful model, pictures of the band show a row of stainless white T-shirts, and their music teems with poppy guitar riffs, synth backdrops, and lyrics like “no more fear, time is on our side.” This band could position itself as a super-act for the disillusioned teen set. In all seriousness, though, the band presents some rockin’ compositions, sometimes mixing heavy guitar with sing-along choruses that will appeal to Top-40 enthusiasts. The band is made up of Greg Raposo (vocals, keys, guitar) who was part of the boy band Dream Street, Brian Corona (guitar, vocals), Jesse Leo (guitar, vocals), Danny Miller (bass), and Dan (drums). They will play Jazid Nightclub tonight at 10 p.m., and Pulp Live tomorrow at 8 p.m.
