British DJ, producer and label magnate Nic Fanciulli has steadily climbed the international ranks over the course of the past decade, positioning himself as one of the biggest stars in electronic dance music.

His career had an auspicious start in the early ’00s when his fledgling production work piqued the interest of major players like Pete Tong, Deep Dish, and John Digweed. He quickly made the leap from 20-year-old small-town spinner to globetrotting DJ sensation with international club residencies in Ibiza and best-selling compilation mixes for the prestigious Renaissance and Global Underground series.

Fanciulli has since gone on to remix tracks by Underworld, Kylie Minogue, and Unkle, and his remix for Tracey Thorn and Tiefschwarz’s “Damage” (as Buick Project with Andy Chatterley) would garner him a Grammy nomination in 2007. That same year also saw the release of his critically-acclaimed artist album, I-Panik, released under the pseudonym Skylark.

Perhaps most significant is the emergence of Fanciulli’s Saved Records as a touchpoint international house and techno label — home to such groundbreaking luminaries as Santos, Jimpster, Matt Tolfrey and Joel Mull. Fanciulli will be returning to Miami fresh off his Ibiza summer residence alongside Carl Cox to perform at SET December 12. Check him out for a taste of the transatlantic EDM zeitgeist.
