Between Flo Rida’s ubiquitous “Low” and this, Miami is blowing up the Billboard charts.
The boss, Rick Ross, officially released his second album, TRILLA, yesterday, at number one on the Billboard 200, with 198,000 physical copies sold… And, haters, it’s also #1 for legal digital downloads too, as well as #1 on the R&B charts.
Score one for Ted Lucas, the CEO of local label Slip N Slide, who released the disc on his new joint imprint with Def Jam. In the works, Lucas has also got Trina‘s fourth album, slated for an April 1 release, as well as a summer date for an album by new SNS artist Qwote.
Here’s the video for the song’s breakout single, “The Boss,” featuring — who else? — T-Pain. You’ve really gotta love someone with the balls to wear neck bling of his own face. — Arielle Castillo
