After spending the entire afternoon holed up at the Delano Miami Beach for a private “Gang Bang” (i.e. the release of Madonna’s MDNA Nightlife Edition Remix Album), hardcore fans of pop music’s top 54-year-old “Girl Gone Wild” rushed home to their laptops.
They frantically tuned into the Ultra Music Festival 2012 live YouTube stream at precisely 10:45 p.m. EST. Because Mistress Madonna said so. Via Facebook.
The payoff: An (almost) seven-minute UMF cameo, some drug talk, and a new electro-house remix of her latest single.
Taking the Main Stage to introduce headlining Swedish DJ, producer, and twink Avicii (AKA Tim Bergling), the pop dominatrix chit-chatted with the crowd about EDM, saying: “Electronic music has been a part of my life since the beginning of my career. I can honestly say that a DJ saved my life.”

But Mistress Madonna’s total devotion to dance didn’t quite convince the raver kids of her coolness. So she switched to drug talk and expletives.
“I have a few questions for you,” she shouted into the mike. “How many people in this crowd have seen Molly? Are you ready to dance? Are you ready for the next DJ, motherfuckers?”
And the beat freaks screamed like ecstatic banshees.
