Miami Hurricanes linebacker Gabe Terry was found with less than an ounce of marijuana and his time with the team is over because of it. The school announced today that he’s been kicked off the team in the wake of his felony arrest.

In some states having an ounce of pot on you has been decriminalized, but in Florida possession more than 20 grams is a felony. Terry was found with 26.8 grams on him on April 19th after police found him passed out on the steps of a UM dormitory.

A rising sophomore, Terry had appeared in seven games during his freshman season and racked up five tackles.

Terry had previously been on suspension for undisclosed reasons.
