Guayaberas Etc. is a store in downtown Coral Gables that specializes in Cuban clothing and memorabilia. The shop is located right across from city hall. Last Friday, it was the victim of a blatant smash-and-grab robbery. On September 13, just after midnight, a man and woman smashed through the store’s front door and made off with more than $9,000 in cash and merchandise, including 20 guayabera shirts. The whole caper was caught on camera.
As seen in the video, after fiddling with the doors, the robbers grab a large rock and hurl it through the glass front door, kick the rest in, and enter the store.
The man, clad in a red hoodie, goes for the cash register. He steals cash, Cuban coins, and other memorabilia on display.
Meanwhile, his female accomplice rushes in to snatch about 20 guayabera shirts.

The entire robbery took about a minute, and the couple wound up with a $9,000 haul. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
