Hillary Clinton will be stopping by the University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus February 26 to address students, faculty and invited guests at the BankUnited Center. Of course, any time a rumored presidential candidate makes a high-profile appearance in a donor-rich swing state, there are bound to be rumors it’s all part of a master plan on the road toward her candidacy.
The speech is scheduled for 8:30 p.m., and the press release makes no mention of what the former Secretary of State will be discussing.
Of course, University of Miami’s president Donna Shalala served as Secretary of Health and Human Services in Clinton’s husband’s administration and was personal friends with the couple before that.
Shalala is no stranger to pulling personal strings in order to get high-profile speakers on her campus. Bill Clinton and Al Gore have previously spoken to Miami students in similar appearances. It only makes sense that now that Mrs. Clinton has reentered private life (at least for now) Shalala would invite her to make a similar stop.

The last time Clinton visited the school’s BankUnited Center, it was in 2008 for a rally during the tail end of her presidential run.
