Last night, James Burnett posted an insightful blog about hos. Unfortunately, the discussion did not include the overly-used but, in my opinion, still effective phrase “bros before hos.” In response to the debate surrounding a comment TMZ.com made about Beyonce Knowles’ “robo-ho” outfit at the BET Awards, Burnett suggested everyone take a chill pill:
When people become so afraid of offending that they steer clear of jokes, even racy jokes, then we widen the fissures between different cultural and social groups. And that’s the last thing we need in this country right now.
It seems to me that Burnett’s got a point. Perhaps we’re all becoming a little too politically correct when we start making a fuss over hos.
