When David Beckham confirmed that he’d be bringing a Major League Soccer team back to Miami last week he unfortunately didn’t give us any new details. You know, things like a team name, colors, or shield design.

Well, now the Palm Beach Post has obtained a couple of possible team names. The most developed of which seems to be “Miami Vice,” which already has a shield and kit design in the works. Though, they likely won’t be the final versions.

“Sources involved with the Beckham group told the Post of three potential identities: Miami Vice, Miami Current and an undisclosed name tied to a corporate sponsor,” reports Matt Porter.

The Current seems about as bland as the Fusion, but it seems that the Vice might be the frontrunner.

However, Porter stresses that the mock-ups were used to attract attention from both possible investors and local politicians and are not likely the final version.

Of course, there’s no details as to whether the rights holders to the Miami Vice TV show would allow the name to be used.
