North Miami Police are on the hunt for Maria Tellez. The 29-year-old woman is suspected of running over another woman with her BMW SUV after a bar fight. The 25-year-old victim was found dead, lying face down on the pavement, when police arrived.
Police haven’t released information about what sparked the fight, and witness accounts are differing, but Tellez and Paola Cordoba got into some sort of altercation around 3:45 this morning outside Billy’s Pub Too (732 NE 125th St., North Miami).
Bystanders attempted to separate the women, and Tellez got into her luxury SUV and started it. While another person was sitting in the passenger seat, Tellez got out of the vehicle and pushed Cordoba to the ground. She returned to the SUV, hit the accelerator, and purposefully ran over Cordoba.
Cordoba was pronounced dead at the scene.
