For the second time this year, a member of the Miami Fire Department has been arrested for sex crimes involving a minor.
Forty-eight-year-old Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Ramon Marti was arrested yesterday for sending explicit pictures of himself to an undercover detective he believed to be a 15-year-old girl.
Marti, who has been a member of the department for 20 years, answered an online personal ad set up by the Pembroke Pines Police. He chatted with the undercover detective he believed to be the underage girl, and sent several sexually obscene messages. He also sent several explicit pics of himself.
Pembroke Pines Police issued a warrant for Marti’s arrest on August 26th, and he was arrested yesterday morning. He was charged with online solicitation or a minor and the unlawful use of a two-way device.

“Very shocking, he’s a normal guy, he’s a good neighbor, quiet and always says hello, helpful,” neighbor Michael Dennis told CBS Miami. “You know, you expect something more from your firefighters.”
Unfortunately this is not the first incident of the type for the Miami department this year. Back in April, Alex Rousseau was arrested for downloading child porn on a laptop at a fire department. Rousseau had been featured prominently over the years in several charity calendars of shirtless firefighters.
