It’s almost as if the school isn’t in the midst of a never-ending NCAA investigation.

According to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings of the major recruiting services, Al Golden has amassed the fourth best recruiting class for 2014 in the nation. The team moved up nine places since the last standings.

Coach Golden has 18 recruits ready to go for 2014, including two five-star players in running back Joseph Yearby and offensive tackle Kc McDermott.

The class is ranked behind only Alabama, Texas, and Texas A&M.

Of course, it’s still more than nine months until the class is all officially inked, but the Canes look to be in good shape and far ahead of any other ACC competitors this year. FSU has the second best recruiting class in the ACC, coming in at seventh overall.
