The second Super Cool Beas era is upon the Miami Heat …and Michael Beasley is as Michael Beasley as ever. During a pre-season game last night against the Detroit Piston, Beasley got called for a travel and was so angry at himself he decided to up and punch himself in the head. The self-injury he sustained was serious enough that he required medical attention.

From the few seconds we see before the camera cuts away it doesn’t look that serious, but according to The Herald, “he punched himself so hard that he needed treatment after the game from the Heat’s trainer.” Beasley’s eyebrown became swollen because of the self punishment.

“It was fun,” Beasley told the Sun-Sentinel of the overall game experience. “I didn’t think I was going to play. It was the first time back. I’m trying to find my way.”
That way probably involves cooling it on going all Rutgers coach on yourself.
