The Miami Dolphins are in the midst of a two-game losing streak. They just fired their special teams coach after they single-handedly lost the game against the New England Patriots. The starting quarterback position is in doubt. Their football czar is about to walk away, leaving a lot of questions with the leadership in the front office. But don’t panic, Dolphins fans. Because owner Stephen Ross is bringing in yet another “celeb” to buy a stake in the team. All is well!
According to the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero, rapper Birdman is set to become the next celebrity minority owner of the Miami Dolphins, joining Gloria Estefan, Mark Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Venus and Serena Williams and Fergie. Birdman was recently on the Morning After radio show, and told host Angela Yee he and the Dolphins are awaiting approval from the NFL:
“It’s in [the] works,” Birdman said. “You have to get clearance from the NFL and we’re waiting for clearence. Once we get clearance, we good.”
That Stephen Ross is a regular Don Draper. You don’t like what’s being said, you change the conversation. Your team has been getting negative press and fan vitriol lately? Save the day by getting a rapper to join the owners. Because the kids love that hippity hop music.
