A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in Wynwood last night. The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of NW First Avenue and 28th Street, just a block off of the art district’s main drag, and a few blocks from the Midtown shops.

According to WSVN, the boy was shot once in the back. A witness claims he heard a car speed off shortly after the incident. The witness then attended to the boy. The boy was apparently shot while riding his bike.

“The boy told me to get the bike off of his legs cause he couldn’t feel his legs,” the witness told WSVN. “But I didn’t take the bike from him cause I was shaking with him, cause I was scared.”

The boy, believed to be the only victim, is now in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
