Forget the pressure on the actual athletes. The most stressed person at any baseball game must be the person picked to throw that ceremonial first pitch. It’s not an opportunity one gets all that often in a lifetime, and botching it is the kind of thing that could haunt you for the rest of your life. And in today’s age, you’d not only be embarrassed in front of an entire stadium, but possibly the entire internet.
John Bledsoe, an executive VP at an insurance firm, was selected to throw the first pitch at a game between FSU and Stetson University on Tuesday. It did not go well.
Oddly the video was posted on the Stetson Hatters’ official YouTube page. Way to embarrass what we presume is one of your sponsors, Stetson.
