Fact: Dogs love to party. Whether it’s a back yard barbecue or a swanky soirée, pooches adore the challenge of sneaking snacks from the buffet table. But today the party is all about them. Dress those canines in their favorite threads and take them to Pet Rescue’s fourth annual Dog Parade and Four-Legged Luau. They can strut around the park, test their limbo skills, and make new friends. There will be plenty of activities for two legged creatures to enjoy, too, including a bake sale, live music, and raffles to win fabulous prizes. Dave Gergely of Shula’s 2 is the MC charged with keeping everyone in line. Check in begins at 10:00 a.m., and the dogs will start parading at 11:00 at Graham Park, between Meadow Walk Lane and Bull Run Road, Miami Lakes. Registration costs $25 (per family) in advance, $30 the day of the event. All funds raised will benefit the pets — providing food, veterinary services, spay and neutering costs, and supplies for these furry friends. Call 305-621-8354, or visit www.petrescuemiami.com.
