Want to play basketball against Dwyane Wade? Well, an average guy has a pretty good shot at getting on the roster of the Minnesota Timberwolves at this point, but if you don’t want to commit to a full NBA season, you can shell out $12,500 to sign up for Dwyane Wade’s fantasy basketball camp to be held this August at the Fontainebleau Hotel.
According to CNBC the camp is only for players 35 years and older and fills a void in the fantasy camp market left by Michael Jordan. Number 23 used to host a fantasy camp for older players in Las Vegas, but ceased the program once he became more involved with Bobcats. So, Wade is once again stepping in to fill a Jordan role.
Because Wade is now affiliated with the Jordan brand, campers will get some customized jerseys, gear and shoes.
But players are really paying for the chance to play some ball with Wade, and they’ll do so on a makeshift court inside the famed resort’s ballroom.
