If there’s one electronic music label Crossfade’s been geeking over all year, it’s UK DJ-producer Paul Rose’s Hotflush Recordings.
You may know Rose by his Scuba and SCB monikers as well as his experimental breakbeat and dub techno forays. He has also emerged as one of the most groundbreaking and influential tastemakers of the new millennium, recruiting maverick acts like Sepalcure, Joy Orbison, Mount Kimbie and Instra:Mental into the Hotflush family.
Earlier this year, we had a chance to catch up with Rose for a Q&A ahead of the Hotflush label showcase at the Electric Pickle during Miami Music Week.
This time, he’s back for a solo performance with PL0T that promises to feature both Scuba and SCB material. Of course, though, we’re hoping to hear plenty more from the stellar Hotflush arsenal.
