Florida Gulf Coast University’s amazing Cinderella story in March Madness is probably the most exciting sports thing to happen to Lee County since, well, its minor-league hockey team the Everblades won the ECHL championship or Dion Sanders used to play high school football there. So, yeah, this is pretty much their most amazing sports moment ever.

Now the City of Fort Myers is officially branding itself as “#Dunkcity Florida.” Hashtag included.

The town’s official website has been updated to support the team.

FGCU isn’t actually in Fort Myers. It’s in unincorporated Lee County and is closer to the town of Estero, but that’s like pointing out that the University of Miami isn’t actually in Miami.
