Why does it feel so weird and hazy outside today? Because the moon just turned the color of blood (we actually have no idea if these two events are related). And you can stop squinting, the only bastards lucky enough to see this 100-minute long lunar eclipse are the many Cultist readers in the eastern portion of Africa, the Middle East, central Asia, and western Australia. For the rest of us, give thanks to kitty cats for inventing the Internet, because we can see it anyway. Click on for the amazing live Google feed. You have until 5:02 p.m. EST to see this uber-long lunar eclipse — in the last century, only three others have lasted longer.
(And yes, the fact that the moon will glow red for those in the far reaches of the globe is indeed why we decided to release our Best Of winners today.)
