Over the last few days, the personal twittersphere of Canadian synth-pop duo Junior Boys has been ablaze with titillatingly cryptic little messages about “big news,” “a zillion shows,” and “a good chance we are coming to a town near you.”
Thankfully, the Boys’ Jeremy Greenspan and Matt Didemus weren’t just teasing us. Their Twitter promises turned out to be true. And yesterday, Greenspan and Didemus announced a 48-city world tour that’ll be making its Miami stop at Bardot October 6.
This three-month road trip (beginning in Minneapolis before zipping off across the map to international nightlife locales like Winnipeg, Tucson, Pittsburgh, Warsaw, and beyond) is meant to be a sweaty indie-dance showcase for the Boys’ summer slab, It’s All True.

Your support strengthens our coverage.
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If Miami New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
And if, like Crossfade, you’ve been gorging yourself for months on the album’s supersweet, nine-minute single “Banana Ripple,” you really don’t wanna miss this date with the Boys.
Sure, the Miami gig is still 72 days away. But tix are already on sale. So don’t stall … Harness your sugar-high excitement, snap up a pair of passes, dance like maniac, sweat through your t-shirt, and send @juniorboys a celebratory Thank You tweet.
Junior Boys. Thursday, October 6. Bardot, 3456 N. Miami Ave., Miami. The party starts at 10 p.m. and tickets cost $25 to $35 via bardot.showclix.com. Call 305-576-7750 or visit bardotmiami.com.
