I don’t speak fluent Spanish, so I have no idea what the hell is going on here. Even if I did, I’m still not sure I’d know what the hell is going on here. All we can gleam from the following video is that the hosts of America TeVe’s Ke Fuerte decided to bring a life sized paper doll of embattled Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natacha Seijas on the stage and preceded to strip it down to its underwear.
Seijas, as everyone knows, is facing a recall election on March 15 and has racked up a lot of ill-will during her long time on the commission. She’s no stranger to visual spoofs, either. We put her on the cover depicting her as the Wicked Witch of the West, while Eye on Miami (the blog we spotted this on) has lots of Photoshop fun with the commissioner’s visage.
But we have to admit this steps a little too far toward sexism. From that widely distributed Photoshopped image of Sarah Palin holding a gun in a stars and stripes bikini to Hillary Clinton on the cover of Spy magazine in bondage gear, America does have an odd habit of demeaning its female politicians by imagining them in their underwear.

Seijas is quick to complain that certain people only have problems with her because she’s a powerful Cuban-American woman. That’s far from the truth (or at least full truth), but sometimes we can at least understand why she’s under that impression.
