Paris-via-South Florida singer Uffie has been quiet for the last few years. However, late this year she finally released a video for her track “Pop The Glock” — almost 4 years after it was released. Ed Banger head honcho Pedro Winter, a.k.a. Busy P, explained that the odd move was to reintroduce everyone to the track in the anticipation of her debut album, Sex Dreams & Denim Jeans, which will be released in 2010.
Well it seems the PR machine is definitely going into high gear because Uffie will be releasing a new EP on February 1 called MC’s Can Kiss through Ed Banger/Just Because. Produced by Mr. Oizo, the track is described as a modern day version of “Pass The Dutchie.” It will also feature remixes by Zombie Disco Squad and Starkey. The track can currently be heard through her MySpace page.
Her debut album is scheduled for a spring release and will feature Pharrell Williams, Feadz, Mr. Oizo, SebastiAn and Mirwais.
