“It’s on like Donkey Kong!” So says Ric Delgado in the first sentence of his post announcing REVMiami’s First Anniversary Party at White Room this Friday night. Delgado is perhaps the single most vocal advocate of Miami music today. And the lineup of talent slated to show their allegiance is enough to knock any videogame off the charts. We’re talkin’ about the Magic City’s mightiest, from the goth-punk preeners of Astari Nite (who’ve recently released their debut EP) to the hip-hop heavies of ArtOfficial (whose two MCs, Newsense and Logics, drop more knowledge in a single line than most spitters do in a whole LP). Dyslexic Postcards, Radioboxer, the Morning Flesh Project, and others are set to stage, as are guest DJs Peasants With Feathers and Zirarock. Who’s keeping this impressive lineup moving? No less a lovable loudmouth than Notorious Nastie.
