Dat Lil’ Chico is the new Dick Clark.

The Cubano rapper born Armando Christian Perez will host Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution, an end-of-the-year fiesta broadcasting all across los Estados Unidos from Miami on Fox.

“The world needs to get ready to un-mute New Year’s Eve, because we are taking the party from the Big Apple to the Pineapple,” Pit says in an official statement. “New Year’s Eve is officially in Miami and hosted by yours truly, Mr. Worldwide.”

For the last couple of years, Pit has celebrated NYE at the American Airlines Arena, home of the world-champion Heat. He’s rung in the New Year with 20,000 fans, as well as famous friends like Enrique Iglesias and Prince Royce.

So yes, papo, expect another arena-size New Year’s party starring “A-list musicians and DJs” for 2015. Also, according to Pitbull, there will be lots of potentially regrettable behavior.

“Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” he jokes, “But whatever happens in Miami never happened!”
