Rosa Mexicano will be opening on the ground floor of the the funky new 1111 Lincoln Road parking lot. That’s an exclusive Short Order scoop — which we scooped from Ryan at Miami’s Restaurant Power Rankings, who scooped it from Chowhound, which got the scoop from a Craigslist job listing.
That was five minutes ago.
Just kidding — the ad has been up a few days. But this does make the South Beach Mex Wars that I alluded to yesterday (spurred by news that a Baja Fresh was to debut shortly at Washington Avenue and 12th Street) that much more interesting. The Rosa location is just a few blocks north of Lime Fresh Mexican Grill.
Makes one wonder if this might shape up to be the Year Of Food Trucks, Affordable Asian Food, and Mexican Chain Restaurants. I honestly didn’t see that last one coming.
