“Shikany is closed this weekend due to plumming [sic] issues. We apologize.”
A phone recording states the restaurant will reopen in mid-February.
Shikany, self-described as “departing from Miami’s comfort zone of rustic and simplistic dining,” opened in April 2014 and drew praise for high-concept dinners filled with the creative chef’s edible “dusts,” “soils,” and “paint.”
Messages left for the chef/restaurateur weren’t immediately returned.
