Of all the nerd-fests that pass through Miami each year, Mizucon bills itself as a specifically anime-centric event. But there’s a whole host of activities and guests that spans geek genres. Learn a bit more about America’s latest undead favorites at the History of Zombies panel (Friday at 6:30 p.m.). Just getting your start in con attendance? Check out the Con Nutrition and Etiquette panel (Saturday at 10:30 a.m.). Voice-actor guests will also dish out plenty of advice to anyone who wants to get into the industry. Be on the lookout for panels by anime and Borderlands 2 voice actor Joel McDonald throughout the weekend. And don’t forget the stunning cosplay! Sunday’s competition will mix cosplay and skits for truly geeky results (Sunday at 3:30 p.m.).
