Kevin Olson hasn’t even taken a single snap for the Miami Hurricanes yet, but he’s already finding himself in heaps of trouble. The redshirt freshman has been suspended for one game after failing a drug test.
He was also suspended during last year’s bowl game while redshirting.
The Hurricanes’ QB situation is currently in question. Senior Ryan Williams, expected by many to be the team’s starter, tore his ACL during spring practice. Olson was then expected to be the starter, but a poor showing in spring practice and the transfer of former BYU and Kansas quarterback Jake Heaps in June put the competition into further flux.

Whatever the case, Olson certainly won’t be starting the first game of the season now.
That leaves the team with Heaps and true freshman Brad Kaaya left in the competition. Fun fact: Kaaya is the son of actress Angela Means Kaaya, AKA “Felicia” from Friday.
