Last night’s Iron Fork chef showdown saw two of Miami’s best-loved chefs battle for supremacy at the Hyatt Regency Miami.

New Times’ Iron Fork is set to take over the Hyatt Regency Miami tonight, October 3, for an evening of food from favorite local restaurants as well as the signature culinary showdown.

For nearly two decades, Lee Brian Schrager has put his heart and soul into throwing Miami Beach’s biggest party. Reminded that the South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) will enter its 19th year this February, Schrager quips, “It’s a long time. I was young back when it started.”

Though Hurricane Dorian threatened Miami at the beginning of the month, September saw a lot of growth in Miami’s food scene.  A number of restaurants and bars opened in anticipation of the upcoming season.
